On the occasion of Bonjour India, French and Indian figures will reflect upon theoretical and intellectual concerns born out of the reality of their respective societies. These societal issues show that both countries, notwithstanding their differences, are confronted with similar challenges, and that sharing their respective experiences can help them arrive at workable solutions. This bilateral dialogue will feature leading policy-makers and intellectuals from both countries. At a time when India assumes a leading role in the G-20, and France and India develop an ever closer cooperation in a wide range of areas, this agora will discuss topics related to democracy, environment, national identity, social issues as well as cultural aspects of both countries.
