CALL FOR PROPOSALS OF THE REGIONAL PROGRAM « SDCC / AIT - FRANCE NETWORK » AND ASSOCIATED CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OF JOINT RESEARCH DOCTORAL STUDENTS

The regional program “SDCC / AIT – France Network” is a result and the next step of the first call for proposals “France / AIT – Network” in order to strengthen AIT and France common research strategy toward SDCC – Sustainable Development in the context of Climate Change. The program consists of
joint research projects for scientific development in the ASEAN region established by an agreement between the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE), through the Regional Office for Cooperation of the Embassy of France in Thailand.

The program, by financing mobility and networking, aims to promote and support scientific and technological cooperation between French research institutions and universities, AIT, and other research institutions and universities based in Asia, involving the public, non-governmental and private sectors.

The call forproposals is targeting young researchers interested in new collaborative projects on the general theme of “sustainable development and climate change”, with a focus on the development of the ASEAN region using multidisciplinary approaches. The objective is to identify high-quality proposals for leading-edge research projects between research teams from AIT, France and ASEAN based institutions, particularly in the six thematic research areas identified by AIT for its new Center of Excellence on Sustainable Development in the context of Climate Change.
