This is to anounce the 2009 call for applications for the National Administration School of France (Ecole Nationale de l' Administration,ENA) an institute to train elite civil servants for the French administrative cadres and also offers courses for training the administrative cadres of other countries .The ENA also offers courses to students who are preparing to join adminstrative services in their own coutries, by offering several types of programmes.The potential candidates should be either already part of the civil services cadre or be young graduates or post graduates willing to serve their country . We are looking for candidates with a strong will to serve, who are highly motivated, receptive, politically aware, with an interest /connaissance of France and Europe and the challenges of contemporary globalised world. The three programmes for which the international applicant can present his /her candidature are; - The Long Duration International Training Proaramme (Cycle international long), 18 months duration, December 2008-May 2011 , applicants to be < 35 years of age at the time of application , no tuition fees
- The Short Duration International Training programme(Cycle inetrnational court) , 9 months, November 2009-July 2010, for applicants >30 years at the time of application, no tuition fees
- The International programme for Public administration,(Cycle international d'administration publique), 7 months, October 2009-30 april 2010, for applicants >25 yrs old (Ideal for young graduates or post graduates preparing for civil services) Tuition fees 3000 euros(scholarship opportunities (please contact CampusFrance nearest to you)
Procedure : 1. Please fill the application form attached ( although the application form is in French , it is easy to comprehend or you can contact the CampsuFrance office nearest to you) There are no application fees 2. A preliminary interview for pre-selected eligible candidates will take place on the 30th January from 10 am onwards at 2 Aurangzeb Road, New Delhi, (Venue.Meeting Room ofthe CSH), interested candidates need to send their duly filled application forms and send an email stating that they wish to attend the interview on the 30th January to

3. After you have been shortlisted you need to appear for a written test on the 12th of February 2009 at the Alliance Francaise (from 10am-14h00) at 72 Lodhi estate Delhi ( this test can be english for candidates who at the time of the test do not have sufficient levels of French)This test is of a duration of 4 hrs (written expression 1 hr ,test of reasoning skills based on a series of questions asking for precise answers that require reasoning aptitude 2 hrs, test of specialisation the students choose one of the following three specialisations:economics and public finance, administration and institutions, international relations, 1hr) 4. the ENA shall choose the best candidates and a final interview will be done in May, dates to be sent to the selected candidates 5. final list of selected candidates to be communicated in June. 6. All students should enrol in French classes prior to their departure at the Alliance Francaises nearest to them (www.afindia.org) or they can start by learning French online through www.clickonfrench.com 7. For IFAN students in France this offer is available through the website www.ifan.in and they can present themselves for the written tests directly at ENA Paris, butthey need to inform the French Embassy about their candidature .
